1969 marked the first year of production for the new model called ‘Project 99.’ Tom purchased this rust free model in New Mexico with only 49,000 miles on it. He later sold it to General Motors for their Heritage Collection restoration project. Prior to the bankruptcy of Saab, a few cars were sold out of that collection, including this one, to long-time Saab enthusiast Bill Jacobson. It was re-purchased by Tom for his collection in the spring of 2017. It was transported back to Iowa with the assistance of Tom’s son, Nathan, and his wife Britney. Ask about the 99,000 mile tire sticker in the trunk!
