This wagon has 26,000 original miles. It was involved in a Saab dealership bankruptcy back in 1970. The banker repossessed the inventory but kept this car in his garage. At some point he sold it to a collector in Mentor, Ohio. Tom purchased it in the early 1990’s and it became the first ‘nice’ Saab that Tom actually owned. It was Tom’s wife, Patti, who insisted they buy it. She felt that all the other Saab’s Tom had, at that time, we’re not drive-able and considered by most to be ‘junk cars.’ Even Tom sister, Terry, remarked at one time all Tom owned was a bunch of junk Saabs! What do you say today, sister Terry?? This car was driven in the 1999 week long ‘Tour of the Rockies,’ held by the Rocky Mountain Saab club leading up to the SOC.
