This car started life with a 3 cylinder, 2 stroke engine and converted to a Dragstrip car by Scott Hart of St. Louis area. It was purchased by Tom in 2011 as a “project car” that needed to be completed to race yet. Tom and crew installed a “stroked” 421 Chevy Small block. Fitted with a 2 speed Powerglide with a Trans Brake. It can be run with delay box or just the Trans Brake switch. It has a “tube chassis” and has 11″ added to the front end parts for added wheel base. The car has some Ozzy Osbourne decals! Bat head missing too! It was totally rebuilt in 2017/18 following a terrible crash at the Humboldt County Speedway. The work was done by Dave Estland and long time friend of Tom’s Murray Mcguire. Murray is well know in the north central Iowa area as a racing & hot rod expert.
It turns the 1/8th mile in about 6.8 Seconds in Iowa. You’ll see it running at the Sturgis Dragway now! Be sure to watch the video of Black Saabath wreck and RESURRECTION!
