This is a very rare first year production for the Viggen model. The car was driven to Sturgis by David Ostheimer which unfortunately struck a deer. The car was taken to Denver where Jerry Danner of Mile Hi Saab volunteered his services to bring the car back to better than pre-wreck condition. A remarkable donation to the museum by Jerry & volunteers of the Rocky Mountain Saab club. (DEER Crash hood in background) In the background is a photo of an F16 fighter from Camp Dodge in Des Moines Iowa. This car was driven to family day by Tom and Patti‘s son-in-law Chris Thorsbakken. Chris was an F-16 crew chief at the time. The Viggen is named after the Swedish VIGGEN fighter jet.
